Born to Run Post#1

The following quote is from chapter one of Born to Run.

"Mrs Brightwell...was always on at Patrick about...using what she called "lazy words", such as 'cool' or 'wicked', or worst of all, 'whatever'."

Explain in your own words what you think Mrs. Brightwell means by "lazy words."  Come up with a list of six other "lazy words" that you or people you  know sometimes use.

Use Google Docs and Google Read and Write to proof read  your work before you post it.  Don't forget to include only your first name when you post.  And of course, your spelling must be "sick".  If it isn't, then that isn't "cool"...(and, no, you can't use sick or cool...)

I think when she says you are using "lazy words" it means you or somebody is using bad English/or any other language. Hear is six "lazy words": stuff, big, when, it, got and went. Mikhail

  6. I think she means that “lazy words” are words that are made up, aren’t proper words or are words that are not nice or make people think that he doesn’t care and I think she hates it so much because she is a head teacher and she wants people to learn how to use proper grammar. I would think a few more “lazy words” would be “stoked”, “radical”, “lit”, “lol”, “lame” and “sucks”.
